Obituary of Jadwiga Koren

Jadwiga Koren, age 79 died on Sunday February, 20, 2005 at Somerset Medical Center. She was born in Warsaw Poland and had lived in South Plainfield for many years before moving to Edison. She was a secretary for the Polish National Alliance for over 10 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Polish Army Veterans Post # 57 in Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1983 and her brother Swavek Sypniewski. Surviving are her twin daughters, Anna D. Eakin and her husband James of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Bridgewater and Barbara J. Friscia and her husband, Rel of Green Brook; her sister, Waclawa Sczerpinska of Warsaw, Poland and her four grandchildren, Krista and Stefanie Eakin and Michael and Marissa Friscia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. followed by a 11:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church, followed by Committal Services at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Chapel, Basking Ridge.Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9.
