Obituary of Bernard A. Feldman

Dr. Bernard A. Feldman, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, he has resided in Watchung since 2008. Bernard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then attended dental school in Pittsburgh, started his own dental practice and re-enlisted in the Korean War. Upon completing his military service he resumed his dental practice from 1953 until retiring in 2008. Dr. Feldman was very active in Alpha Omega organizations to help promote education among dentists. In his spare time he enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Predeceased by his son Philip Feldman. Surviving is his loving wife Mildred (Topel) Feldman; Dr. Jeffrey Feldman and his wife Karen; four grandchildren, Aaron Feldman, Corie Cooperstein and her husband David and Joseph and Gina Gagliano; five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Shiva will be held on Thursday, January 3rd from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 5th from 5-8 p.m. at 83 Mount Horeb Rd., Warren, NJ.
