Obituary of Patrick H. “Aka Pasquale Mastro”
Patrick Henry Giacomo, 74, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Highland Park, grew up in Jersey City and had lived in Martinsville before moving to Watchung.
Mr. Giacomo graduated from St. Peters High School in Jersey City and from the Newark College of Engineering.
He was a bricklayer for Joe Giacomo Construction, Co. before starting his own business, Caryl Construction Company. He built many major buildings in the state as well as office complexes located on Vreeland Road in Florham Park.
Mr. Giacomo served for 5 years in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Giacomo is survived by his wife, Maree Mazzei Giacomo; his son, Patrick Giacomo and his wife Valerie of Denville; his daughter, Colleen McAteer and her husband Roger of Warren and his stepson, Rick Villoresi of Old Bridge, NJ. He also leaves his brothers, Joseph Giacomo and his wife Carmel of Edison and Anthony Giacomo of Jersey City. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a 10:00 am funeral service at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Street, Liberty Corner and entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9.
