Obituary of David Ingram Frank

Warren: David Ingram Frank, age 56, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark. Born in Manhattan, he grew up in the Bronx and lived there until the age of 15 when he moved to Commack, Long Island. He then moved back to the Bronx, living over his fathers paint store. It is here that he learned his trade. He also resided in Manhattan working for Janovic Plaza Paint Store, a premier paint store in New York City. This is also where he met his wife Audra in 1981 In 1984 he and his wife started Audra Ingram Inc., a prestigious painting contractors company whose list of clientele reads like a list of Whos Who. From movie stars to musicians to CEOs of major corporations. Their work has also been published in Home & Garden Magazine, Architectural Digest and other national publications and trade magazines. David was the president of the North Jersey Chapter of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) as well as the trustee of the Middle Atlantic Council of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. He loved music and at the age of 50 began taking guitar lessons at Mikes Music Shop in Stirling, NJ. His mother, Eleanor Gruner Frank predeceased him. Surviving are his wife, Audra Frank; his son, Duston Vincent Frank and his wife Suzanna of Las Vegas, NV; his father, Alex Frank of Boca Raton, FL; a brother, Peter Frank of Somerset; a grandson, Dustin Myles Frank; cousins, Brian Berkowitz, his wife Lynn and their son Jonathan, The Boomer of Parkland, FL, Will Frank and his Life Partner Ken of Queens, NY and Robbie Gruner of Queens, NY. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, some of whom he helped raise, Evan Frank, Brian and Adam Corson and Scott and Brian Carbaugh. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 17th at 11 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Fairview, NJ.
