: John Euart Mealy, age 58, died on Monday, June 20, 2005 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Bronx, NY, John had lived in Teaneck and Buddlake before residing in Tinton Falls 15 years ago. Mr. Mealy graduated from the NY School of Printing in Manhattan. He attended the African Methodist Episcopalian Church in Manhattan, NY. He was a basketball referee for (I.A.A.B.O.) International Association of Approved Basketball Officials. Mr. Mealy worked as a Computer Consultant for AT&T in Bridgewater for 32 years retiring in 1998. Mr. Mealy is survived by his parents, Armstead and Millicent Simon Mealy of Orange, VA; two brothers, Armstead Mealy III and his wife Rita of Teaneck, NJ; and David L. Mealy and his wife Jamie of North Plainfield; his godson David L. Mealy, Jr.; his niece and nephew Briana and Christopher Mealy of Teaneck and his planned life partner, Michelle Russ. Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27th at 11 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield. Interment will be in Holy Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, VA. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
