Obituary of Louis A. Viviano, Jr.
Plainfield: Mr. Louis A. Viviano, Jr., 84, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in Plainfield, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Viviano was a mortgage broker for Mortgage Money Mart in Edison for many years. A graduate of Lawrenceville Prep School in Lawrenceville, he attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY until he was called into service during WWII, where he served as a First Lieutenant under General Patton participating in the Battle of the Bulge. After returning from the war, he received his BA degree from Cornell University where he played on the Varsity Football Team. He attended St. Bernard's R.C. Church in Plainfield and was a member of the Plainfield Country Club since 1940. Surviving are a son, Christopher and his wife Terri of PA, a daughter, Kim Gargiule and her husband Richard of Bridgewater, a sister, Josephine Moon of Texas and three grandchildren, Jason, Dana and Emily. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday evening at 8:30 pm at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
