Obituary of Lois Anne Catoggio
Lois Anne (Clixby) Catoggio, age 70, died on Tuesday, July 19th at her home in Warren. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and had lived in New York City until 1956 when she moved to Warren.
Mrs. Catoggio started performing at 3 years old and sang opera in many Playhouses in Michigan and throughout the Midwest. She studied voice in New York and was considered the Girl with the Golden Voice. She always devoted part of her performances to singing of her Lord. She had also appeared on Broadway.
Prior to her retirement , she was a Para Professional for the Warren Board of Education for 33 years.
Mrs. Catoggio is predeceased by her baby daughter.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 49 years, Anthony Catoggio; her sons, Michael Anthony Catoggio and Gerald William Catoggio and his wife Kelly; her brother, Gary Velthouse and her sisters, Marcia Stevens and Darleen Quails. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren, Lindsey, Allison, Tarah, Joey and Erin.
