Obituary of Frances P. Benton

WATCHUNG: Frances Pearl Benton of Watchung passed away peacefully and bravely on Tuesday (Aug. 9, 2005) after a long illness. Frances was known as Bunny to her family because she was so cute. She was born in Brooklyn and lived in Staten Island until she moved to Watchung in 1992. She graduated from Hunter College and worked for many years as a dental hygienist and as an office administrator in her husband's business. She loved museums, good restaurants and making dolls. Fran is survived by her devoted husband, Herbert; and two devoted sons, Andrew of Watchung and Robert of Albany, N.Y. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Diane; her adoring grandchildren, Helen, Nathan, Drew and Harry; her beloved cousin, Pearl; nephew, Gary; niece, Gail; and dear friend, Diane Zawicki, and Bergy. Fran's family is thankful for the wonderful care provided her by Dr. Church Farber and the staff of the Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital; Dr. Carla Flynn and two angel nurses, Becky Eibling and Susan Tretolo, who cared for her like she were their family. At Fran's request there will be no service or calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung. To send condolences, go to www.higginsfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Carol S. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
