Obituary of Salvatore Guadagnino

Salvatore Guadagnino, age 90, died on Saturday September 17th 2005 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Mr. Guadagnino was born in Piscataway and had resided in Middlesex and Plainfield before moving to Edison six years ago. Prior to Retiring in 1967 Mr. Guadagnino worked for ten years as a leather cutter for the Lane Co. in Newark NJ. He was a former communicate of St. Bernards R.C. Church in Plainfield. Mr. Guadagnino was a member of the Senior Citizens Tri- County Association in Piscataway and a member of the Traveling Seniors of North Plainfield. Surviving is his wife of 62 years Mary (Wood) Guadagnino of Edison; a son Salvatore Guadagnino and his wife Rosemary Haness of Orange, NH; daughter Nancy Guadagnino of Pompton Plains, NJ; three grandchildren Steven, Tricia and Meredith. Also surviving are five great grandchildren Matthew, Nicolas, Hope, Jacob and Maelana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday September 20th 2005 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ 07069 with Father Frank Rose officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
