Obituary of Ruth C. Sampson

Ruth C. (Cronheim) Sampson, 88, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Newark, she resided in Allenhurst before moving to Deal in 1960. She also maintained a residence in Watchung. A graduate of Douglas College in New Brunswick, Mrs. Sampson was the manager of Twin Brooks Country Club in Watchung for many years. Surviving are her son, James C. Sampson of Watchung; three daughters, Annette Sims of St. Petersburg, FL, Elizabeth Benton of New Orleans, LA and Sarah Sampson of Deal; a brother, Robert Cronheim of Watchung; 6 grandchildren, Amy Richardson-Spaans, Mark Sims, David Sampson, Sarah Sampson, Steven Strumolo and Jared Strumolo and three great grandchildren, Nikki Anne Spaans, Jacob Spaans and Hezekiah Fleck Sims. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 26 at 7:00 pm at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Donations to the American Red Cross, Disaster Relief Fund, P. O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013 to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina would be deeply appreciated.
