Obituary of John Sheldon

Mr. John C. Sheldon, 81, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Bisbee, AZ, he resided in Brea, CA for many years before moving here 5 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1987, Mr. Sheldon was employed for over 30 years as a mechanical engineer for Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo, CA. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1950 and was a WW II Army Veteran. His son, Robert Charles Sheldon predeceased him in 1973 and his daughter, Susan Gail Barnes in 1998. Surviving are his wife, Gail Carson Sheldon; a son, Allen Sheldon of Columbus, OH; a daughter, Janice and her husband Tom Moser of Bridgewater; a brother, Reagan Sheldon of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Mabel Sheldon and Dorothy Addis both of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Julie Rasmussen, Veronica, Tyler and Kyndra Moser and a great granddaughter, Kayleigh Moser. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27 at the Alliance Bible Church, 52 Mount Horeb Rd. in Warren. Interment will be held on Saturday, October 1 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Brea, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alliance Bible Church Building Fund in his memory would be deeply appreciated.
