Obituary of Cosimo Mazzaferro

Cosimo Mazzaferro, age 59, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. He was born in Grotteria, Calabria, Italy and came to the United States in 1972 where he settled in Brooklyn and then relocated to Warren in 1992. Prior to his retirement 6 years ago, Mr. Mazzaferro was the owner of Natales Restaurant in the Gillette section of Long Hill Township since 1985. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. He is predeceased by his wife Giuseppina Mazzaferro in 2002 and his sister Maria Fimognari in 2000. Surviving are his son, Natale Mazzaferro; his daughters, Maria Derwitz and her husband Brad, Loredana and Sonia Mazzaferro; his brothers Damiano and Sal Mazzaferro; his sisters, Elenora Bentivoglio, Silvana Panetta and Graziella Lombardo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 8:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday 1-3 & 7-9.
