Obituary of Anna Waite

Anna Waite, age 72, died on Sunday, November 6, 2005, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Mrs. Waite was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and had lived in Kingston NY, before moving to New Providence six years ago. Mrs. Waite was a hairdresser and homemaker prior to her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her famous Annies Eggplant. She also cherished spending time with her family and friends and trips to Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John F. Waite in 1997, and a sister Louise Patti in 1994. Mrs. Waite is survived by her two sons, Frank of Staten Island, NY; Robert of Wellington, FL.; her two daughters, Laura Melesius of Warren, and Louise Waite of New Providence; her brothers, Tony Dente of Brooklyn, NY; Jerry Dente of Pompano Beach, FL.; Ralph Dente of Margate, FL.; and sisters, Angelina Dente, of Brooklyn, NY; Fanny Ficalora, of Brigantine, NJ.; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung with a Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Jay Siceloff officiating. Committal Prayers and Entombment will immediately follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Basking Ridge.
