Obituary of John Christian

Mr. John A. Christian, 85, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. Born in South Ozone Park, NY, he moved to Locktown in 1931, where he grew up on a farm. He moved to North Plainfield in 1939 and resided in Bridgewater since 1961. Prior to retiring in 1992, Mr. Christian was employed as a foreman by Thermionic Products Corp., in North Plainfield for many years. Mr. Christian was discharged as a Corporal after having served six years in the US Marines during WWII. He was predeceased by his four brothers William, Thomas, George, and James Christian and one sister Edith Scheier Surviving is his beloved wife, Elsie Maynard Christian and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 10:00 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung with Rev. Brian Nolan officiating, followed by interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 8:00 pm.
