Obituary of Betty L. Goldberg
Betty L. (Kleinberg) Goldberg, age 79, died on December 14, 2005, at her home in Scotch Plains. She was born in Newark, raised in Elizabeth, lived in Union until she moved to Scotch Plains 40 years ago. Mrs. Goldberg was a graduate of the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan and had worked as an interior designer for Bambergers and also did interior design paintings with water colors. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Goldberg had worked as the office manager for Benoist, Goldberg and Shapiro an Architecture and Engineering firm in Clark for 25 years. Mrs. Goldberg loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an expert knitter and an avid reader. She is survived by her loving husband Seymour Goldberg; a son Richard Goldberg and his wife Jamie Greenfield; a daughter Wendy Goldberg and her husband Richard Friedenreich. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren, Jake, Dana, Maggie, Alex and Zach. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16th, at 12:30 pm from Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield with Rabbi Bennett Miller. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.
