Obituary of Gabriel N. Marotto

Gabriel N. Marotto, age 73, died on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was born and raised in Staten Island, NY and moved to Plainfield where he lived until his marriage in 1965, then moved to Piscataway in 1967. Mr. Marotto served in the United States Air Force. He attended Vaughn Barber School in New York and opened Gabe's Barber Shop in Piscataway in 1971 and in 1977 moved his barber shop to Bridgewater. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. Mr. Marotto is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean Cecchettini Marotto; his daughter, Lisa Marotto Millroy; his brother, Dominick Marotto; his sister, Elizabeth Dennis and his grandson, Ryan Millroy. Funeral services will begin on Friday, February 1st at 10:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by an 11:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Middlesex.
