Obituary of Margaret T. Griffin

Tamaqua, PA: Margaret T. Griffin, age 93, died on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Hometown Nursing and Rehab center in Hometown, PA. She was born in Somerville and had lived in Plainfield and Dunellen before moving to Tamaqua, PA 13 years ago. Mrs. Griffin was a graduate of the Somerset Hospital School of Nursing in Somerville and was a member of the Alumni Association. Prior to her retirement in 1975 after 30 years of service, she was a Registered Nurse for Muhlenberg Hospital. She enjoyed traveling abroad. She is predeceased by her husband, Martin Griffin in 1962, her son, Richard Griffin in 1993, her sisters, Etta Grenniger and Emma Manning and her brother Roy. Surviving are her son, Allen Griffin and his wife, Theresa of Hometown, PA; her daughter, Jean Griffin Baum and her husband Peter of Rockville, MD and 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 10:00 am in Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ followed by interment at Lake Nelson Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday from 7-9 only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimers Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.
