Obituary of Perry McGowan Jones Sr.

Perry McGowan Jones, Sr., age 67, died on Friday, December 23, 2005 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Lifelong resident of Plainfield, Mr. Jones worked for the Plainfield Board of Education as a Custodian/Fireman for 22 years retiring in 1994. Mr. Jones was an Air Force, Army and Army National Guard Veteran. He is predeceased by his parents, Preston Jones and Beatrice McGowan Jones; his brothers John F. and Rudolph P. Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Jacqueline I. Jones; two daughters, Angel L. Jones (Lewis) and Lori B. Jones; his son, Perry M. Jones Jr. all of Plainfield; two sisters, Sally A. Butler and her husband John of W. Columbia, SC, and Rosebud M. Archer of Forrestville, MD; a brother, Cecil R. Jones of Plainfield; three grandsons, Jamal A. Jones, Raheem Jones of Plainfield and Raynell J. Jones of Phila., Pa. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29th at 11 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Cremation is private.
