Obituary of Andreas Georgiou

Andreas Georgiou, age 90 died on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at his home in Warren. He was born in Cyprus, Greece and had lived in Fairview and Jersey City before moving to Warren two and a half years ago. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Georgiou was a chef for the Finn and Claw Restaurant in Washington Township for over 30 years. He was a member of the Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview. Mr. Georgiou was an avid reader of the bible. He is predeceased by 5 sisters and a brother. Surviving are his wife, Nitsa Karsos Georgiou; his sons, Kostas Georgiou and his wife, Maggie of Warren and George Georgiou of Ohio and his 3 grandchildren, Andreas, Anastasia and Victoria. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30th at 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 12:00 noon Funeral service at Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9.
