Obituary of Nitsa Georgiou

Nitsa Karsos Georgiou, age 82, died on Monday, February 13, 2006 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was born in Chios, Greece and had lived in Fairview and Jersey City before moving to Warren two and a half years ago. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Georgiou was a member of the Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview. She is predeceased by her husband Andreas Georgiou, who died last month. Surviving are her sons, Kostas Georgiou and his wife Maggie of Warren and George Georgiou of Ohio; her 3 grandchildren Andreas, Anastasia and Victoria; her brother John Kostas of New Milford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, at 12:00 noon at Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview, Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Arrangements are by Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
