Obituary of Anna Mae Pepe

Green Brook: Mrs. Anna Mae Tozzi Pepe, 73, died Monday, February 13 at Greenbrook Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Green Brook. Born in Plainfield, she resided in Somerville and South Plainfield before moving to Green Brook 7 1/2 years ago. Prior to retiring 19 years ago, Mrs. Pepe was employed by Somerset Medical Center in Somerville as a medical transcriber in the Pathology Department. She was an avid Bingo player at St. Joseph's Church and St. Luke's Church, both in North Plainfield. Her ex-husband, Frank Pepe, predeceased her in 2001. Surviving are three daughters; Deborah Chalkley, Cynthia Dight and Ann Marie Zenone, two sisters; Audrey Waldron and Barbara Tozzi and eight grandchildren; Jo-Ann, Jennifer and Johnny Zenone, Clinton, Tara and Colton Chalkley, Jamie and Nicholas Dight. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 8:45 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 9:30 am funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in Middlesex. Cremation private. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
