Obituary of Norma Rimmele

Norma Krautter Rimmele, 83, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., died on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison, N.J. Born and raised in Irvington, N.J., Norma resided in Union, N.J., for 36 years and moved to Lebanon Township, N.J., for 16 years, most recently living in Little Egg Harbor. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, 45 Church St., Basking Ridge, N.J. A memorial service will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Tuckerton on Saturday, February 16th at 11:00 am. Norma, or Ma, as we all called her, is predeceased by her husband, Pa, John G. Rimmele, Jr "Jack", of 56 years. She is survived by daughter, Jan Schlenker and husband Bob, son Jack Rimmele and wife Kathy, 8 grandchildren and their spouses; Austin and Sun Yan Schlenker, Jake and Emily Schlenker, Clint and Courtney Schlenker, Courtney and Paul Klimovich, Zack and Sarah Rimmele, Carlye and Cristian Rojas, Ryan and Britt Rimmele, Sky Rimmele. She is also survived by 13 Great-Grand children; Jack Schlenker(4), Eli Rojas(4), Jack Rimmele(3), Mae Schlenker(2), Norah Rojas(2), Bobby Schlenker(2), Gray Rimmele(1), Kali Klimovich,(1), Riley Schlenker(1), Axel Rimmele(10 months), Caroline Rojas(9 months), Lilly Schlenker(9 months), and Matthew Schlenker(6 months). For more than 30 years Norma and Jack owned and operated Rimmele's Flower Shop in Union, New Jersey. Throughout her life Norma was very active in the community. She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of Sharon Chapter Eastern Star, a member of Suburban Golf Club, a member of Lower Valley Presbyterian Church in Califon, a member of First Presbyterian of Tuckerton, a member of Hunterdon County Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bridge with many different clubs throughout her life. Jack and Norma were active participants in numerous Lion's Club and FTD activities and enjoyed traveling often as they could. Norma was always working on some project whether it was a college colors crocheted afghan for one of the grandchildren or a counted cross stitch blanket for each great-grandchild. Ma enjoyed a very full life. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
