Obituary of Rachel Oliva

Basking Ridge: Rachel (Pisacano) Oliva, age 85, died on Saturday February 18, 2006 at Fellowship Village Assisted Living in Basking Ridge. Mrs. Oliva was born in New York City and had grown up in Brooklyn NY. She moved to the Bronx NY in 1940 after marrying her husband I. Ralph Oliva. Mrs. Oliva had resided in Long Island and Whiting NJ before moving to Basking Ridge four years ago. She was a member of St. James R.C. Church in Basking Ridge. Mrs. Oliva was predeceased by her husband I. Ralph Oliva in 1986. She is survived by her three sons, Ralph Oliva and his wife Kat of State College P.A, Vincent Oliva and his wife Susan of Warren, and Charles Oliva and his wife Linda of Kenilworth NJ; a brother, Alfred Pisacano of FL; and a sister, Rose Stamos of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Beth, Matthew, Christopher, Jason, and Kyle. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung NJ, followed by a 10:00 am funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church in Basking Ridge. The interment will be held at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm only at the funeral home.
