Obituary of Shirlee Greves

Shirley Greves, age 76 died on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at her home in Watchung. Born in Lebanon, she was raised in North Plainfield and after her marriage to Fred Greves, Jr. in the late 1940s, relocated to Watchung.Mrs. Greves was the Welfare Director for the Borough of Watchung for many years.She was very involved with the Watchung Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and was very active in community organizations in the borough of Watchung. She was a lifelong active member of Wilson Memorial Church where she ran the Wilson Memorial Church Frippery and was a member of the choir. She was the Welfare Director for the Borough of Watchung for many years.She was devoted to her family and loved her house in Long Beach Island.Shewas predeceased by her husband Fred in 1990, a brother, Harry Hendrickson and a sister, Eleanor Miller.Surviving are her son, Gary Greves of North Plainfield; her daughter, Donna Greves of Watchung and her three grandchildren, Timothy Greves of Bristol, RI and Brian and Kathryn Greves, both of North Plainfield.A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Union Church, corner of Valley and Hillcrest Rd., Watchung. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers or donations, please give your family members a hug and take a moment today to be kind to your fellow man.
