Obituary of Emily L. Meyrick

Emily L. Meyrick, age 79, died on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. She was born in Orange, NJ and had lived in South Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield 39 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1969, she worked for 12 years at South Plainfield High School in the cafeteria. Mrs. Meyrick was a member of the St. Stephens Lutheran Church Needlework Group in South Plainfield. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, William A. Meyrick; her sons, William A. Meyrick of Lake Wales, FL and Robert A. Meyrick and his wife Judy of Pompton Plains, NJ and her sister, Alwayne Blechar of Martinsville. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset St. North Plainfield followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Plainfield Rescue Squad 334 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, NJ 07060 or to the North Plainfield Police Dept. 263 Somerset St. North Plainfield.
