Obituary of William L. Arrants

Mr. William L. Arrants, age 82, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Harborside Healthcare in Bridgewater. Born in Irvington, he resided in Warren before moving to Martinsville 43 years ago. Prior to retiring, Mr. Arrants was a sheet metal fabricator for his own company, A&A Mfg., Inc. in Plainfield, for 15 years. Previously, he was employed for many years in the same capacity for Casale Sheet Metal in Garwood. Mr. Arrants was a US Army Veteran serving in World War II. He enjoyed freshwater fishing at Round Valley Reservoir and Spruce Run, making many of his own fishing flies. His son, Lawrence W. Arrants, predeceased him in 1995. Surviving are his wife, Irene M. Bohanan Arrants, a son, Richard John Arrants and his wife Donna M. of Piscataway, a brother, Arthur Arrants of Hillsborough and a sister Shirley Perkins of CA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, followed by internment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 pm only. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Rd., Parsippany, NJ 07054 would be appreciated.
