Obituary of Loretta G. Conway

Mrs. Loretta G. Sofield Conway, age 86, died on Thursday, May 04, 2006 at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton. Born and raised in Plainfield, Mrs. Conway lived in North Plainfield and Toms River before residing in Hammonton 6 years ago. She worked as a beautician for Lucy & Ralphs Beauty Salon in Plainfield for over 20 years retiring in the late 90s. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph R.C. Church in North Plainfield and the past President of their Rosary Altar Society. She also was the former Ladies Auxiliary President for the Elks Club in Plainfield. Mrs. Conway is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Joseph Conway in 1999. She is survived by her son, Gregory Conway and his wife Kathy of Folsom, NJ; her daughter Carolyn Furno and her husband John of Waretown, NJ; 6 grandchildren, C.J. and Courtney Conway, Lisa and Lenny Acken, Cara and Angelica Furno; and 2 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Monday, May 8th at 12 noon in Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung followed by a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Joseph R.C. Church, North Plainfield. Entombment will be in St. Mary Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung. Visitation will be on Monday from 12 to 1 pm prior to the funeral mass.
