Obituary of Jose Tubens

Jose Tubens, age 68 died on Tuesday,, May 23, 2006 at Somerset Medical center in Somerville. He was born in Mayaguez, PR and had lived in New York City, Piscataway before moving to Hillsborough 2 years ago. Mr. Tubens served in the United States Army for 3 years. Prior to his retirement, he was a custodial engineer for the Plainfield Police Department. He loved music and was very social. Mr. Tubens is predeceased by his wife, Rose Tubens in 2005. Surviving are his sons, Ricardo Tubens and his wife Frances of Washington, NJ and Jose Tubens and his wife Sara of Norfolk, VA; his daughter, Victoria Tubens of Hillsborough; his brothers, Manuel, Samuel, Jose, Luis, Orlando, Israel Neco, Israel Bolo, Ruben, and Walter Tubens, his sister, Carmen Saveedra, and his uncle Carmello Martell. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Mercedes, Nicholas, Adam and Matthew Tubens, Neece Horton and his great grandchild, Chanel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield followed by interment at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9.
