Frank, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Ellie was a truly wonderful, kind woman and I am blessed to have been able to spend so many wonderful years speaking with both of you when you visited my copy center. Heaven truly has received another angel. God Bless you always.

Frank, What can I say that would make the pain of losing Ellie less devastating? Should I say it must have been worse to see her suffering from cancer.
Yes, that's it. Living in this world can be really rough, and the bottom line is that it all boils down to God's plan.
What was that question from the Baltimore Catechism? "Why did God make us?" God made us to know Him, to love Him, to serve Him and to be happy with Him in heaven. There we go. If we think of it that way, it makes sense. Ellie knew God, she loved Him and had served Him. There was only the happy with Him in heaven part left. OK, now focus, focus, focus on that aspect. Beautiful, wonderful Ellie made it home before you and the rest of us, and she will be there as we each arrive.
Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!
Frank, For now, may the "Joy of the Lord be your strength" (VBS song Ellie taught me)
May you feel the presence of God in your sorrow and be comforted with the thought that Ellie is truly strumming for the Lord and singing with the angels.

Dear Frank,
You may not remember us but we fondly remember you and Ellie when we first moved to Martinsville in 1975 and joined Blessed Sacrament Church. Your devotion to God and His church and to each other was impressive. We send our most sincere condolences and prayers. We left Martinsville in 1999 for Hillsborough and now live the majority of the year in Jupiter, Fl (southeast coast) since October 2005. We are looking for a condo in the Basking Ridge area for the summer and fall months,in order to be near our daughter,son-in- law and two grandsons. God bless you.

My name is Linda Romasz. During the years of 1988-1992, I was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Youth Group. One of my greatest memories of youth group was Ellie and Frank and their amazing love for all us teenagers. They opened their home to us and made us feel like a part of their family. I saw Ellie and Frank about 1 1/2 years ago at a diner and it was wonderful to see them and get the great hugs I always loved. I will always hold my memory of Ellie in my heart and remember her as friend and an inspiration. She was loving and kind. Every month, I would go to Runnells hopspital with Ellie and Frank and we would have a fun car ride to and from and laugh the whole way. My memories of Ellie will always hold a special place in my heart and the world is definitely a better place with having her in it. Now i am married and expecting twins and I know she'll be up there watching out for me and my little ones. I feel like I have my own guardian angel now....
With Love,
Linda Romasz-Hoinowski

Mrs. Schifano embodies kindness and love. Her smile welcomed everyone. Her devotion to God and community and her love for others made her the perfect role model for all of us growing up with the Blessed Sacrament Youth Group. We are blessed that she touched our lives and will miss her dearly.
