Obituary of John J. “Jack” Timko, Jr.

John J. Timko. Jr. age 72, died on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Bayonne and had lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Lakewood 8 years ago. Mr. Timko served in the Army from 1955 to 1958. Prior to starting his own medical advertising firm, Wedgwood Communications in Green Brook, he was the Director of Marketing for Schering Plough in Union from 1958 to 1970 and then he went on to the position of Vice President of Marketing for Warner Lambert in Morris Plains. Mr. Timko loved to travel, play poker and spend time at the beach. He was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, John J. Timko, III of Scotch Plains, James Timko of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Thomas Timko of Sea Girt; his daughter, Susan Hadley of Florham Park and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12th at 8:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scotch Plains. Interment will be at St. Patricks Cemetery, White Haven, PA. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9
