Obituary of Gertrude L. Glowinski

Gertrude L. Glowinski, 80 died on Tuesday, July 11 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was born in Scranton, PA and had lived in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Green Brook. Mrs. Glowinski was a homemaker who wrote fiction novels and enjoyed quilting and remodeling. She also recorded books for the Ocean County Volunteers for the blind. She was a communicant of St. Marys Stony Hill Church Mrs. Glowinski is predeceased by her husband, Edward F. Glowinski in 1997, a brother, Edward Lannak, a sister, Helen Majkowski, and her parents Anthony and Alice Lannak. Surviving are her son, Ward J. Glowinski of Rockaway, NJ; her daughters, Linda G. Sorchini of Green Brook, Susan C. Cherasaro of North Plainfield, Sandra Getz of Green Brook and Judith Glowinski of Middlesex and her brothers, Herman Lannak of Scranton, PA and Frederick Lannak of Newark, DE. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 8:45 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A Funeral Mass at St. Marys Stony Hill Church will follow at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9
