Obituary of William John Tracy Jr.

: Mr. William John Tracy, Jr., 66, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Glenside Nursing Center in New Providence. Born in Jersey City, he grew up in Bayonne and resided in Union before moving to Glenside Nursing Center. Prior to becoming disabled, Mr. Tracy was employed for 27 years as an electrician for Picker International, Union. Mr. Tracy loved his family. A Yankee fan, he was a former softball coach for the Union Softball League. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Union. Surviving are his four sons, William J. Tracy, III of Mountainside, Daniel Tracy of Flemington, Michael Tracy of Cranford and Matthew Tracy of Old Bridge; two daughters, Kathleen Altenburg and Sharon Tracy both of Watchung; his mother, Sally Tracy of Bayonne and six grandchildren, Frederick, Caecilia and Gwenyth Altenburg, William Tracy, IV, Connor and Kylie Tracy. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 8:45 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys Stony Hill Church and interment at St. Marys Stony Hill Cemetery, both in Watchung. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
