Obituary of Alexander Lombardo
Alexander Lombardo, age 89, died on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at his home in Warren. Born in Leominster, MA. he resided in Brooklyn before moving to Warren in 1960. Prior to his retirement 24 years ago, Mr. Lombardo was employed as a Carpenter with Exxon Refinery in Linden for 40 years. Alexander was a World War II Veteran who served with the Navy. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #2252, Warren for the past 37 years serving as one of their oldest members. Mr. Lombardo enjoyed baseball and was an avid NY Rangers Hockey fan. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lee Lombardo in 2003. Mr. Lombardo is survived by his son, Michael F. and his wife Sandra of Somerville; his sisters, Isabelle Baker and Vinnie Angelini both of Leominster, MA; his two grandchildren, Carly Bohach and her husband Richie of Somerville and Cass Lombardo of Philadelphia, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19th at 9:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:15 am at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
