Obituary of Janet Fels Regan

Janet Fels Regan, died on Monday, February, 11, 2014, at her home in Martinsville. Janet lived in Martinsville for 48 years and before that was a resident of Warren Township and Bound Brook, NJ. Janet was active in the community, especially Blessed Sacrament Church, where she volunteered as a teacher, member of the Rosary Altar Society, Circle of Friends and as an administrator in the CCD office. She also was a substitute teacher and member of the Washington Valley Newcomers as well as the Martinsville Community Center. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, reading, crossword puzzles, Rummikub and Mahjong. Janet was an enthusiastic supporter of live theater and enjoyed local as well as Broadway shows. Predeceased by her husband of 39 years Dennis K. Regan in 1991. Surviving are her six children Jeffrey, Peter, Daniel, Alison, Susan and Pamela; 15 grandchildren; sisters Nancy Tubbs and Patricia Freeman. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16th at 8:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Martinsville. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
