Obituary of Mildred L. Vogel

Plainfield: Mrs. Mildred L. Vogel, age 99 died on Wednesday July 19, 2006 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Mrs. Vogel was born in Denver CO and was a long time resident of Plainfield. She graduated from Montclair State Teachers College. During the 1940's and the 1950's Mrs. Vogel worked for the Plainfield Board of Education as a substitute teacher. She was a long time member of Temple Sholom, where she was a past president of the sisterhood. Mrs. Vogel also was the past owner of Vogel's Fur in Plainfield. She is predeceased by her first husband Louis Robins (1964) and her second husband Morris Vogel (1998). Mrs. Vogel is survived by a son Russell Robins of Plainfield; a daughter Natalie Robins Lehmann-Haupt and her husband Christopher Lehmann-Haupt of Bronx, NY; a brother Milton Levy and his wife Charlotte Levy; four grandchildren Rachel and Noah Lehmann-Haupt and Marc and Glenn Robins all of New York City, NY; a great grandson Jake Robins; a niece July Levy; a nephew Douglas Levy A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday July 21, 2006 at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ 07060 with Rabbi Joel Abraham officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin NJ.
