Obituary of Frank Lewis Mundy

Frank L. Mundy, age 80, died on Saturday, August 12th at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington with his beloved family surrounding him. Mr. Mundy was born in Plainfield and had lived in Warren Township most of his life moving to East Amwell in 2003. He was the Owner and President of Mundy Excavating, Inc. in Warren Township retiring in 2003. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific as a Member of the underwater demolition team. Mr. Mundy was the son of the late Dorothy Dealaman Mundy Harris and Israel Mundy; he is also predeceased by a brother Elwood Mundy. Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years Hazel Freiday Mundy, a daughter Sundae Mundy Taylor and her husband Clement Gray Taylor of Doylestown, PA, and three grandchildren, Clem Taylor, Catherine Freiday Taylor, and Melissa Mundy Taylor and her fianc Clifton Lane Trey Sykes. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ. Interment will follow at Trinity United Church Cemetery in Warren.
