Obituary of Kathleen Anne Niemczyk
Scotch Plains: Kathleen Anne Niemczyk, age 44, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. She was born in Elizabeth and was a lifelong Scotch Plains resident. Miss Niemczyk received her BA degree in English Literature in 1984 from Mary Mount College, Tarrytown, NY. She was a Vice-President for Unique Metal Products in Rahway for over 25 years which was a family owned business. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scotch Plains, was a CCD teacher and volunteer of other activities for the church. She enjoyed spending time in Cape Cod on family vacations as well as trips to Disneyland with her brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew. Miss Niemczyk was an avid reader, poetry writer, gardener, pianist and she enjoyed knitting. She was a very loyal, devoted daughter, sister, godmother to Gabrielle, Aunt, sister-in-law and friend. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Mary Lorenc and Andrew Lorenc and Victoria Niemczyk and Jozef Niemczyk. She is survived by her parents, Joseph Niemczyk and Claire J. Lorenc Niemczyk; her brother, Joseph M. Niemczyk and his wife Cathleen; her nephew Joseph and niece, Gabrielle. Also surviving is her special love, Joe Mikajlo. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 10:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by an 11:30 am Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scotch Plains. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
