Obituary of Gladys Gonzalez

Piscataway: Gladys Gonzalez, age 62 died on Thursday August 31, 2006 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Mrs. Gonzales was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico and had resided in Plainfield and North Plainfield before moving to Piscataway five years ago. Mrs. Gonzalez worked for fourteen years as a machine operator at the Somerset County Recycling Center in Bridgewater, NJ. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, and word search puzzles but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her father Ventura Gonzalez and her sister Teresa Vigo. Surviving are her mother Arcadia Olan; a son Luis A Guzman of Plainfield; three daughters Rosa Wilson and her husband Kennard of East Stroudsburg PA, Maria Guzman of Plainfield, and Nelly Guzman-Day and her husband Earl of Plainfield; six grandchildren Kenndra and Kennard Jr. Wilson, Amanda and Kathleen Day, Shauna Guzman and Anna Guzman; a brother Jose Gonzalez of Plainfield, two sisters Julia Gonzalez of Fords and Tita Medina of North Plainfield. She is also survived by other 3 brothers and two sister all of Puerto Rico and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 am on Tuesday September 5, 2006 at Higgins Home for Funerals 461 Somerset St. North Plainfield NJ 07060 followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Plainfield NJ. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
