Obituary of Genevieve O. Ehrhardt

Genevieve Okulicz Ehrhardt, age 89, died Sunday (September 3, 2006) at her home. She was born in Newark, NJ, lived in Union and graduated from Union High School in 1936. After her marriage, she lived in Jersey City and moved to Warren with her husband in 1950. She was employed by Hyatt Roller Bearing, St. Peters Hospital and retired from Bell Labs in Warren, NJ. She was active in her community. She served as a leader of the Bakers Dozen 4-H Cooking Club. Other volunteer activities included working at the gift store for the Bell Labs Telephone Pioneers of America, the Warren Township Rescue Squad Auxiliary and helping at the polls on Election Day. She was a member of the Warren Senior Citizens Club. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Albin Bob Ehrhardt and her brothers, Julius Okulicz and William Okulicz, and her sister, Anna Okulicz Seiser. She is survived by her brother Joseph Okulicz and his wife Irene. Her children include two sons, Albin Ehrhardt, Jr. and his wife, Downamorn, of Warren and Dr. Eric Ehrhardt and his wife, Dr. Susan of Oswego, NY; two daughters, Kathryn Ehrhardt of Brodheadsville, PA and Zuzan Ehrhardt of Warren, NJ and grandchildren, Thomas, Erica and Henrik Ehrhardt and Fred Klock and his wife, Alexandra, and Dieter and Rainer Klock. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006 until 2 p.m. when a Memorial Service will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung. Interment will be private.
