Obituary of Catherine L. Gardos

Catherine Lyons Gardos, age 98, died on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at St. Vincents Nursing Home in Cedar Grove. Born in Plainfield, she resided there for many years before moving to Toms River where she lived for over 30 years, prior to moving to Cedar Grove. She was predeceased by her 1st, husband T. Martin Wolf in 1959 and her 2nd husband Michael Gardos in 2000, her brother John Lyons and her sister Eleanor Lyons. Mrs. Gardos is survived by a sister Margaret Creel of Toms River; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 9:15 from Higgins Home for Funerals, Plainfield followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys Church in Plainfield. Interment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
