Obituary of Gino W. DeMatteo

Gino DeMatteo, born May 16, 1918, originally of Plainfield, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was part owner of Thielex Plastics Corporation in Piscataway with his brothers until his retirement in 1979, when he relocated to Boca Raton, FL with his beloved wife Jane. She predeceased him in 2003. He enjoyed many years of travel, golf and gardening and was a true friend to all. As the head of a large family, he has set an example of love and devotion that his decendents will never forget. Surviving are his sons, Gino DeMatteo of Green Brook, Ronald DeMatteo of Spring Hill, FL, a daughter, Donna (DeMatteo) Heaney of Toms River, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset St., No. Plainfield on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with a Funeral Service on Friday at 10 am.
