Obituary of Shamsay Habeeb

Shamsay Shem Boghdan Habeeb, 74, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.

Born in Plainfield, she was a lifelong North Plainfield resident. Mrs. Habeeb was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church of Plainfield and the Plainfield Twin Mothers Club. She enjoyed cruising and Atlantic City.

Surviving are her husband, Emil W. Habeeb; her children, Barbara Habeeb of North Plainfield, Linda Mian and husband Abdul of North Plainfield, Michael Habeeb and wife Kathy of Dunellen, his twin sister, Elaine Viola and husband John of South Plainfield, David Habeeb and wife Lisa of North Plainfield and Diane Smagalla and husband Scott of North Plainfield; her brothers, Saleem K. Boghdan of North Plainfield, George Boghdan of Piscataway and Kalil Boghdan of MA, and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12th, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Plainfield followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset St. North Plainfield.
