Obituary of Louise Sylvester

Louise Pelle Sylvester, 84 died on Thursday, October 12th at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Mrs. Sylvester was born in Plainfield and moved to Raritan from Vero Beach, FL in 1996; she had been a Plainfield resident most of her life. She was a former volunteer for the Deborah Hospital and was a member of the Italian American Club in North Plainfield. Her husband Armand died in 1980. Surviving are two sons, Carmen Sylvester and his wife Mary Jane of South Plainfield, Armond Sylvester and his wife Marcia of Roosevelt; a daughter, Mary Louise Cirainni and her husband Frank of Raritan; two sisters, Philomena Straniero of Vero Beach, FL and Mary Simone of North Plainfield. Also surviving are 5 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren and 5 Step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14th at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Bernards Church, Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visiting hours will be held on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 400 Morris Avenue, Denville, NJ.
