Obituary of Susan A. Easterday-Brown

Susan Easterday-Brown passed away quietly early Saturday morning (Nov. 4, 2006) at her home in Warren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Otho D. Easterday and her second husband, John A. Brown. She is survived by her sons, Otho D. Jr., Paul J. and Carl L. Easterday and her daughter, Catherine S. Bosse and her ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ms. Easterday was born in Sioux City, Iowa and attended nursing school in Indiana. She was married to Otho D. Easterday in 1949 and moved to Stony Brook, Long Island. After living on Long Island, she moved to Vienna, Virginia and then to Warren, New Jersey in 1969. She married her second husband, John A. Brown in 2003 and was a long time member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church in Warren. Ms. Easterday worked as a visiting nurse with the Somerset Hills Visiting Nurse Association for many years. She spent the last few years involved in volunteer work with the Ships Galley in Somerville, helping provide meals for the homeless. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 11:30 a.m. in the Mt. Horeb Methodist Church, Warren. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Arrangements are by Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung.
