Obituary of William A. Ferris

Watchung: William A. Ferris, age 72 died on Saturday November 11, 2006 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ferris was born in Somerville and had resided in Middlesex and South Bound Brook before moving to Watchung 39 years ago. He was the co-owner of Ferris Brothers Inc., a wholesale florist in Middlesex, with his brother Robert Ferris; a family business since 1951. Mr. Ferris had served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He was a member of the Bound Brook Elks and the Watchung Lions. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and most of all fishing. He is survived by his wife Patricia Ferris of Watchung; his mother Elsa Ferris; a brother Robert Ferris and wife Catherine of Middlesex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 am on Tuesday November 14, 2006 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069;followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Watchung NJ.Interment will be held at St. Marys Stony Hill Cemetery in Watchung. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
