Obituary of Carlton R. “Buster” Lorah
Carlton Russell Buster Lorah, age 68, died on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Carlton was born to the late Russell W. and Mae Schantzenbach Lorah. He lived in Emmaus, PA before residing in Middlesex 34 years ago. Carlton graduated Emmaus High School in 1956 and attended Montana State University in Bozeman on a full football scholarship. He served in the US Army in Fort Ord, CA. Carlton was formerly employed by Exide, Inc. in Allentown, PA and retired in 2003 from Fisher Scientific, Inc. in Somerville, NJ. He is a communicant of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Martinsville. He enjoyed his hobbies, but mostly spending time with his family. Carlton is survived by his wife, Marcella (Gasper) Lorah; his four children, Catherine Lorah of South Bound Brook; Timothy and his wife Susan of Middlesex; Stephanie Williams and her husband Scott R. of Bethlehem, PA and John and his wife Diane of Middlesex; six grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole, Meghan, Timothy, Carly and Danielle; two sisters, Renae Johnson of Boyertown, PA and Cynthia Ward of New Tripoli, PA; one brother, Dean of Emmaus, PA; and his stepmother, Sarah Lorah of Emmaus, PA; and brothers-in-law, John of Northampton, PA and Peter Gasper of Emmaus, PA. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 6th at 9 a.m. from the Higgins Funeral Home, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Martinsville. Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
