Obituary of Adele A. Waypa

Martinsville: Adele(nee Agurkis) Waypa, age 95 died on Tuesday, January 2, 2006 at Berkeley Heights Convalescent Center. She was born in Kingston, PA, she moved to Jersey City in 1946, then to Ewing in 1970 and then to Martinsville in 1988. Prior to her retirement in 1976, Mrs. Waypa was a Lab Assistant for Colgate Palmolive Research Center in Piscataway for 25 years. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Martinsville and an active member of the Senior Citizen Club in Ewing. She loved to cook, crochet and was an expert knitter. She also loved to read romance novels. Mrs. Waypa is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Waypa in 1959. Surviving are her loving daughter, Rosalie Szeman and her husband Janos of Martinsville; her son, Theodore Waypa of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, Nicole Szeman, Janos Szeman and his wife Maria M. and Michael Waypa. Also surviving is her great granddaughter, Noelle Szeman. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be at St. Marys Annunciation Cemetery in Pringle, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church
