Obituary of Jean I. Schneekloth

Plainfield: Jean I. (Gorman) Schneekloth, age 82, died on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in Plainfield she was a lifelong resident. Prior to her retirement, Jean had been a Secretary in the Guidance Department at Maxon Junior High School in Plainfield for 16 years. After her children were grown, Jean returned to school receiving her Bachelors Degree from Marymount University in Tarrytown, NY and her MSW Degree at Kean University. She loved knitting, crocheting, reading and had knitted all her grandchildren an afghan in their college colors. She was predeceased by her husband William C. Schneekloth in 1977 and her daughter Nancy in 1992. She is survived by her seven sons, William of Fairlawn; Charles of Metuchen; Jeffrey of Grantham, NH; John of Watchung; Peter of Buellton, CA; Michael of Santa Barbara, CA and Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters Kathleen OConnor of Glen Rock and Mary Huelsenbeck of Sparta; also twenty grandchildren Deirdre and Rory OConnor, Jennifer, Patti, and Katie Hanley, Andrew, Mark and Luke Huelsenbeck, Jeffrey, Charlie, Eric, Paul, Jay, Tim, Erica, Peter, Will, Lauren, Michelle and Melissa Schneekloth. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 10:00 a.m. in Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by interment at St. Gertrudes Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Plainfield Library, 800 Park Ave., Plainfield, NJ 07060 would be appreciated.
