Obituary of Helen Martin

Warren: Helen Martin, age 91, died on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at her home in Warren. She was born in Bronx, NY and had lived in North Plainfield before moving to Warren 46 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was the owner and designer of Leahys Flower Shop in Plainfield for 50 years. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Scotch Plains Baptist Church and the Quota Club. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Klumpp and her husband Hank of Warren; her sister, Emma Jensen of Scotch Plains; her grandchildren, Kim and Terry MacConnell of Warren, Pam and Frank Schleimer of Mountainside, Hank and Gena Klumpp of Tewksbury and Jeff and Katie Klumpp of Watchung. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jill, Kole, Reeve, Hank, Troy, Max, J.D. and Kelly. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
