Obituary of Concetta L. Vitali

Concetta Linda Vitali, 68 died on Monday, February 19, 2007 following a long illness with Multiple Sclerosis. Connie had been a resident of the King James Care Center of Chatham since 1994. Connie was born Concetta Linda Tragno, December 20, 1938 in Jersey City, NJ. She was a graduate of Cliffside Park High School and attended the Barbizon Modeling School as well as secretarial school. She was an avid dancer and had been accepted to join the Rockettes but instead chose a career as a legal secretary. Connie had a very exciting career for 10 years as secretary to Arthur H. Dean, senior partner of the law firm, Sullivan and Cromwell in New York City where she met many famous people including President John F. Kennedy. It is fitting that she died on Presidents Day. Connie is survived by her former husband, Ronald A. Vitali of Basking Ridge; her sons, Todd of Bedminster and Greg of Branchburg; her grandchildren, Alexis, Aidan, Fiona and another baby due in May as well as her sister, Marie Howard of Montvale. Friends and relatives are invited to Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung on Friday, February 23rd at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Everyone who knew Connie loved her. Although her illness left her unable to do many things that she loved, it never took away her smile and spirit. She was an inspiration to everyone and never complained about her situation.
